I have been a customer of jcpenny for over 25 years. I’ve had a credit card with them for 10 to 15 years. Always made my payments on time. They increased my credit over 3000 just before I made my payment. My debit card. Was compromised so I got a new one. I thought I had to change the numbers when I made my payment. I tried 2 times it didn’t work I figured out my info on cr card was good so I made my payment. About a week later I got a notice that they were canceling my card. I was floored. I called. The only thing they said they could do was have me reapply for a new account. No. I’ve had this for several year. Not putting an inquiry on my credit report. Guess I will not be shopping at pennys any more. I’ll check out kohls.
