I purchased a laptop (Model No: X1P-42-100/16/512G/SHARED/13, Serial No: 0f33v3r25253k9) from the Jumbo showroom at Mall of the Emirates on 26th July as a pre-order for Microsoft’s latest series. At the time of purchase, the Jumbo showroom salesperson informed me that there was a promotional offer including a Microsoft Arc Mouse and a backpack, and that these items would be provided on 29th or 30th July. However, I only received a message on 1st August at midnight to collect my order. When I went to collect it on 3rd August, I received the laptop and backpack, but not the Arc Mouse. When I inquired, the salesperson was unsure about the promotion. I had to argue with the team before they agreed to provide the mouse—after an additional three days. I followed up multiple times with the vendor’s representative and rarely received responses. Eventually, I only managed to collect the mouse on 9th August. As a customer, my dealer was Jumbo, but the issue was shifted to Microsoft’s promotional team. This miscommunication and lack of clarity misled customers and caused unnecessary inconvenience, requiring multiple visits to collect the promised items. For reference, I have attached the promotional material that was shown to customers at the time of purchase.
