Trading on short notice flights with zero flexibility.
I was looking for an emergency flight from Stanstead to Shannon after missing a flight in Stanstead. I searched up other flights available and kiwi had one showing. I went to their website chose direct flights that would get me in that night. A quick search later and up popped one showing it was leaving at 10pm and arriving at 11.30pm, all sounded good. So I booked it..Only to find it was not a direct flight but that it was a flight from Stanstead that night to Edinburgh then a 23 hour stopover before I flew to Shannon the next day!!
I immediately called them and tried to explain that they had not provided what I asked for and could I cancel the ticket (I was prepared to pay a small fee of course) I was told in no uncertain terms that they would not cancel or refund the sale as it was outside of the 48 hour cancellation policy, I explained that the flight they had sold me was less than 3 hours away to no avail. I even tried to convince them that I must have some
Sort of cool down period ( I called them 5 or 6 minutes after the sale) or consumer rights protection. I was met with indignation and stubborn refusal.
Do yourself a favour, never ever use these guys, customer service is hidden away and the call centre operatives are script following robots that have no clue.
Pursuing a claim against them via my bank.
