Deceptive promotional pricing--I attempted to purchase several items online and, as usual, there was a promotion code in effect. Actually, I was offered several levels of promotional codes. The problem was that when I chose an item, the discount was applied on the screen (e.g., this knit top is $19.23), but when I placed it in the checkout cart, the prices did not match. One or two were as shown on the purchasing screen, but others were either less discounted or full price. Thinking it was a software error, I contacted customer support, who explained that their new way of discounting is according to demand, and that I would be seeing that at a lot of businesses ("everyone else is doing it"). So if others like the same shirt, we'll all be paying more today(?!). That is not a new type of promotion but plain ole bait and switch, which is still illegal. Anyone not watching could pay much more than the "sale" indicated. Bait and switch--LE has lost another longtime customer.
