⭐ 1 Star – £1,300 Gone in Seconds – No Refund, No Help, No Humanity
I am completely devastated by how Lastminute.com has treated me and my family.
I accidentally confirmed a booking on their website while checking PayPal Credit options. There was no final confirmation screen, no clear warning — the UX was confusing, and before I knew it, £1,265.86 was gone.
I cancelled the booking within minutes and contacted customer support immediately to explain the mistake. I asked to reinstate the booking or at least find a fair resolution. I received nothing but copy-and-paste replies. I was told:
• The hotel was already cancelled and couldn’t be reinstated
• The flights were also being cancelled, with no refund
• I may also face an additional £350 cancellation fee
So to summarise:
• ❌ No holiday
• ❌ No service used
• ❌ No refund
• ❌ No compassion
This was supposed to be our one family holiday of the year. My 5-year-old child was in tears. I was trying to do something good for my family — and instead, we’ve lost everything.
Lastminute.com has shown no flexibility, no customer care, and no responsibility. They took over £1,200 for a booking that was cancelled moments after it was made — and they’re still hiding behind “policy”.
This is not just bad customer service — it’s morally wrong.
