Despite its name, “Leader Doors” proved anything but a leader in my experience. I purchased a softwood external back gate, carefully following all their preparation guidelines, and then some. I tripled the recommended layers of primer, undercoat, and external paint, applied silicone to vulnerable areas, and had the gate professionally installed by a qualified carpenter. Yet within just seven months, the gate began splitting at the seams and was clearly unfit for purpose. I submitted detailed photos and raised the issue with their customer service, expecting support under their prominently advertised “Lifetime Guarantee.” Instead, I was met with denial and zero accountability. Their refusal to honour their own guarantee was deeply disappointing. A company that positions itself as a leader in internal and external doors should stand behind its products and take pride in its name. Sadly, their after-sales service was virtually non-existent, and their response undermines the trust their branding and reviews suggest. I chose Leader Doors based on positive reviews — but my experience suggests those may not reflect the reality. I would advise others to proceed with caution and scrutinize the fine print before placing trust in this company.
