Our refrigerator stopped working 2 weeks ago. It's less than 3-years-old. A service repair person came out today to look at it (I haven't had a fridge for 2 weeks already). He figured out the problem and told me he had to order the part. When I asked how long before the part came in, he couldn't even guess. I asked if it would be weeks or months, and he said he really didn't know. I have medication that needs to be refrigerated, so I ended up buying a tiny fridge to try to get by. To expect someone to go an indefinite period of time with a very expensive fridge that doesn't work seems quite unreasonable. When I express that it's a long time to go without, the reaction is that it's no big deal.
I have nothing against the repair person. He was nice and even came early. My issue is that LG is suppose to be great. The fridge died in less than 3 years, and I have no idea how long it'll be before they'll get around to fixing it. I don't see me buying another LG fridge in the future.
