Brand new dryer. Making a squeaking sound when it was drying. Called warranty they sent someone out , they did nothing and said it was normal to hear it. Never LG again. Customer service is terrible!

I texted with Marilyn Vicente this evening, July 28. She pointed out that LG did not have my microwave registered. I said the reason for that is the warranty questionnaire did not ask for the serial number. She started a file regarding my complaint and assigned a ticket number and a referral number to a local repair company. She was very patient when the photo could not be sent from my iPad to the text message app. We used email and the photo went through to the LG customer support email address. Again, Marilyn was very patient and courteous.

A Masterclass in Corporate Incompetence – LG, You’ve Outdone Yourself I never thought I’d say this, but LG has officially made buying a refrigerator feel like a long-term relationship with disappointment. When my LG fridge suddenly stopped working, I immediately submitted a claim. You’d think that would trigger a timely and helpful response—think again. Instead of expediting a service visit (or even pretending to care), LG informed me they only work with their approved vendors—none of whom existed in my area. Their solution? Wait up to two weeks without a fridge. Two. Weeks. In what world is that acceptable for a basic household necessity? I had no choice but to go buy a new fridge and have the broken one hauled away. Two weeks later, LG miraculously found a vendor. A week after that, the vendor called to schedule a repair—nearly a full month after the original failure. I told them I no longer had the unit because LG’s glacial pace forced me to replace it. They understood. LG did not. To make matters worse, LG had initially promised to reimburse me for the spoiled food. Then, in true LG fashion, they backtracked because the work order was canceled. Of course it was—you made me get rid of the fridge because you couldn’t deliver on basic service. This experience has been nothing short of infuriating. LG appliances may look sleek, but when they break—and they will—you’re on your own. Between the broken promises, endless delays, and utter lack of accountability, LG has earned my business… never again. Do better.

HAVE a LG dryer that wasn’t heating up. Called customer service because it is under warranty. Called about every week and just keep getting the runaround. They canceled my order then had to call them again and still getting the nowhere

LG made us very unhappy. Our previous refrigerator only lasted us 7 years. We just purchased a new one. It’s only been a month and the compressor went out. We had to move all our food to our neighbors. And now we have to go through the hassles of having LG replace it for a new one. So far we are out $200 for the service company to come out. We are completely inconvenienced. We should have stayed with the reliability of a GE or Fridgedaire.

Dear LG Customer Support, Regarding LDP6797ST , Reference number : RNN250717009654 I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the resolution provided regarding my defective LG dishwasher, which originally cost approximately $1,200. The unit failed after only five years of use—an unacceptably short lifespan for a product that was marketed and priced as a high-quality, long-lasting appliance. In addition to the purchase price, I also invested in an extended warranty through Best Buy, further increasing my total cost and demonstrating my commitment to protecting this appliance. Despite this added investment, I am now being offered only a $400 credit—an amount that neither reflects the value of the original purchase nor supports the replacement of a comparable model. I find this resolution extremely disappointing. The dishwasher I had before this LG unit lasted over 20 years. I chose LG expecting better performance and reliability, and unfortunately, that expectation has not been met. This situation has left me feeling that I would have been better off purchasing a more affordable model from another manufacturer. Instead of rewarding my investment in a premium brand, I now feel penalized for it. Going forward, I will have to seriously consider choosing the lowest-cost option from another manufacturer, simply because I cannot justify reinvesting in a product that has failed prematurely with inadequate support. This experience has eroded my trust in LG products and customer service. I strongly urge you to reconsider your decision and provide a resolution that fairly reflects the investment I made and the quality your brand promises. never trusting LG brand, regretting buying all my appliances from this brand.

We had an LG front load washer that the glass spontaneously imploded while the unit was not even running. The customer service team was a nightmare to work with. Spent nearly 3 hours on the phone and its still not resolved

My washer is 6.5 years old and now won't spin. We've tried te fixes on YouTube to no avail. I am a single person who doesn't have much laundry so such a crappy machine is a huge disappointment. I was quoted $349. 00 plus tax with only a 90 day warranty to "fix" this machine. I got a good laugh out of this as that is about half the cost of a new one! It says an LG should last 10 - 15 years. 😂😂 Not even close for this one. You people should be ashamed.

I have a 2 year old LG clothes dryer that I've been having trouble with. I called LG and they tried to trouble shoot the issue. The person I spoke to was wonderful, but unfortunately unable to fix the issue. She transferred me to a person who could schedule a service call and this is where the problems started. I was told that I could pay a flat rate of $401. and this would include parts & labor, regardless of the repair needed. This also included a 90 day warranty. This sounded good and I agreed. I was informed that an outside appliance service company would contact me within 24-48 hours to schedule an appointment. I waited 2 days and didn't get a phone call. I called LG back and they assured me someone from MK Appliances in Summerville would contact me the next day. We're now up to 4 days and still no phone call. I called LG back again and was given the same reply. Finally, 7 days later MK Appliance called and I was told someone would be at my house that very same day between 2:30pm-4:00pm. I did not have any advanced notice and was not available. Between their technician schedule and my schedule they were unable to complete the service call request any other time during the week. MK Appliance notified LG of the situation, I was told that LG would send their own technician to do the repairs. That was fine with me, however when I got the call back from LG, they said they do not have a technician that will be in my area and could not complete the service call. I requested to speak with a supervisor and the customer service person said it would not help and they would just tell me the same thing. Now after a full 7 days, I still don't have a functioning dryer and I'm on my own to find an appliance repair company to fix my dryer. This experience with LG was the WORST customer service I have every experienced.

I’m deeply disappointed with LG. They have proven to be unreliable after my 4-door refrigerator, a costly purchase, failed just three years and three weeks after purchase. I paid a hefty fee for an LG technician, only to learn it needed to be sent back for another assessment, leaving me frustrated and without a clear solution. LG’s reputation for quality misled by the salesperson and 10 year warranty made me trust their product however experience has shattered that confidence. I hope sharing this helps others think twice before choosing LG, as their appliances are not as durable as advertised. Their quote of HK$7185 for repair was found to be extortionate. Furthermore when I expressed my dissatisfaction they offered to lower the price by not fixing the system panel. (Costing $1400) Where's the logic? It's totally baffling. I believe I should have made a more intensive research as I have now realized that most of the LG salespeople I have befriended have belittled LG. The fridge was leaking refrigerant and needed soldering. Don't buy, their products have proven to be flimsy. Customer service was useless.

The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I called multiple times, but communication was extremely difficult—the representative struggled to understand me, and I had trouble understanding them. They seemed neither knowledgeable nor concerned about resolving the issue. Despite the problem being fairly simple, it was never resolved. It’s disappointing and unacceptable for a brand that claims to offer an excellent product. Stay away from LG if you want to save time and not get frustrated.

if i could give 0 stars i would. Have a LG refrigerator 3 years old that quit cooling the fridge and freezer. Called around and no one in Michigan will touch it. Called LG and verified it is under warranty but still no one will touch it. Been waiting for over a week to have someone call with a resolution and nothing yet. I am the one who has to call them and every time i talk to someone they don't have any answer. NEVER AGAIN. Side note Home Depot knew about the issues getting it repaired and never said a word.....

We purchased an LG refrigerator 3 years ago when we moved into our home. It has quit cooling, and I have spent days trying to get repairs. I told them I have medication that needs to be refrigerated and right now we're having to keep it on ice in an ice chest. They told me if I found someone to repair it they would send a letter of authorization for them to work on it. "I" had to do all the foot work, had a hard time finding anyone that would work on LG because of their customer service. I did finally find someone, turned in his info to LG, and LG said they had sent them an email. Flat out lie. I reached out to the repairman and they had received no communication from LG, and said have LG send them a text instead. I called LG back, ask them to text the repair guy. LG actually put me on hold and led me to believe that he had sent the repairman a text. He received NO text. The repairman has the parts and is willing to come out immediately, but LG will not let him! Yesterday I get a call from a different repairman, he is frustrated with LG, but that is who they have selected to come work on my refrigerator, 5 days from now. I do not know if he will even have the parts or if that will be another week or two week wait. You better believe if I have a choice I will not buy another LG product.

This spring I purchased an lg electric range. It was expensive. A short time later I received a recall notice reference the dials which switch on easily and have caused issues. The recall required putting a sticker on the range that alerted others to the defect along with instruction to watch animals and children closely. This is a true defect and have had the stovetop inadvertently switch on by myself and others about 5 times. I really was surprised that LG had the solution to the problem being to place a sticker on the range. Shame on them.

I got a LG refrigerator and it came dented from the top door. To my mistake i didn’t think to open it immediately because i was waiting for my kitchen to finish getting remodeled. 3 weeks later the workers doing our kitchen unbox it and it’s messed up. LG doesn’t want to take responsibility because it’s passed the “7 days” and tried sending a repair person for ME to pay out of pocket?? Never again. Don’t buy from these thieves.
