My washing machine stopped after 1 year and 3 weeks Had to wait 30 minutes with chat to get a live agent only to be told that I had to call customer service. I called customer service and after and they wanted me to pay one of their “trusted” service teams to repair it at $425.00 and I only paid $699.00 for it. Absolutely the worst customer service and product.

I purchased an LG through-the-wall air conditioner, and it arrived broken. I returned it and received a replacement… which was also broken. At that point, I decided I just wanted a refund, but I had already passed the return window while trying to work with LG to resolve the issue. Needing an air conditioner, I purchased a third LG unit, hoping my previous experience was just bad luck. Unfortunately, the third one was broken too. LG customer service was incredibly frustrating. They insisted that a technician could only inspect the units if they were fully installed. These through-the-wall air conditioners are extremely heavy, and after discovering each one didn’t work, I wasn’t about to keep installing and removing multiple defective units just so someone could verify they were broken. In the end, I gave up and bought a different brand that worked. Meanwhile, I still have multiple heavy, defective LG air conditioners sitting in my living room because I physically can’t carry them down three flights of stairs, and LG has offered no meaningful solution or assistance. Three defective units, countless hours wasted, and terrible customer service. This has been one of the most frustrating customer experiences I’ve ever had, and I won’t be purchasing LG products again.

along with all the people's comments about LG'S poor customer service, I do agree. Our refrigerator, bought in 2023, just quit! The compressor just quit. We did get a technician within a few days. He replaced the compressor and any parts connected to it. Explained the available app and how to use it. Had no complaints with him, and so far fridge is running. Not real confident that it will see old age though. Contacted LG by chat bot about reimbursement for lost food, after all it was their fault, it was their compressor that caused the food loss. Said someone would call me, no one did! I called them today. After being routed through their phone system, I was told that they do not reimburse for lost food. Why not? That's not part of warranty. And as to the warranty, the new compressor didn't start a new 5 yr. warranty and is only good for the remaining 2 years. I never detected any customer concern which has become the new normal now a days. When I get a chance I always try to let companies know that they do themselves a big disservice by disrespecting their customers. so far I have had one business come up with better service, Starz, after a few cold answers finally sent some good service my way. I will always be willing to let a business know when they do good as well as when they do poorly. See less

LG used to be a good brand, now just a cheap, poor quality products with even worse customer service. I bought the appliance for a new home, more than 22k, 6 months later the ap[pliacnes started to peel off the outside door, and started to turn black, looking horrible. Contacted the LG customer, just to be told, " oh it is not affecting the function of the appliance, you can pay for a new door (which it is expensive and we don't even have on storage) or you can deal with it...it is not that bad"...seriously, a 2k refrigerator following apart in less than 7 months, and you are going to tell me to deal with it...I am speechless, the most to say that this will be that last time LG see one of my ponies!

We have a LG Dryer which quit heating three months after we bought it. LG has avoided sending someone to repair it, claiming that we need to check the gas pressure. The gas company said that since our other gas appliance are working (hot water heater, furnace, space heater, gas range, etc.) the see no need to check the pressure. This was explained multiple times to LG representatives, and they remain reluctant to send a technician to fix the dryer. This has taken many, many hours and we still have no resolution.

Recently my Son purchased me a portable ac, my brother came and set it up for me venting it and after starting it we realized that the remote was not communicating with the ac he called and they were telling him to try different things nothing he explained that I needed the remote, they said they would send out a new one they did it was the same issue as the first not communicating I called they sent out a third same the girl explained that they had no technician in my area that they would contact someone to call and set something up with me it’s been a week nothing, we have also had a refrigerator by lg in the past few months to me and my son has also purchased fir himself now my refrigerator has a extra 2 yr warranty what happens if there’s a problem with that, I have to say I use to be a manager for Sears appliances and when there was a problem we got it fixed or replaced it, I would like someone here to fix my problem with ac unit or I will be returning everything. I have been patient long enough, Thank you Karen George

Very disappointed with both LG and their repair agent, Pacifica. This is an 18-month-old fridge freezer, and a broken door wire has caused it to beep every 10 seconds, day and night, for seven days straight. Living with constant noise for a week has been extremely stressful and completely unacceptable for a relatively new appliance. LG appointed Pacifica to carry out the repair. On the first visit, the engineer failed to fix the issue. It was clear the repair could not be completed, which raises serious concerns about training and competence. A second appointment was scheduled to complete the repair. However, just two hours before the visit, Pacifica cancelled without any warning or explanation, leaving us stuck in this ongoing situation. The lack of urgency, organisation, and accountability is shocking. Based on this experience, this will be my last LG product of any kind.

I purchased all of my LG appliances from Home Depot 4 yrs ago. First the motor on my refrigerator went out before 4 yrs, I purchased a very high end big refrigerator for my cakes. Now my washers motor goes out another big purchase and I had to go spend more money on a new set. I had to call an appliance repair company who stated the motor went out and was not repairable. DO NOT PURCHSE LG they suck and people don’t have money to throw away. I would have expected LG to be a very good product as much as they are but NEVER again will I purchase LG I learned a damn good lesson so I bought GE washer/ Dryer. I have never regretted purchases as I have buying LG so disgusted… if 4 yrs is all your products last then shame on you…

Bought a LG tv 55inch and 3 months later it stop working. Waited 2 weeks for technician and he came and did not nothing just made assumption it’s the motherboard or the panel. Had to wait for the motherboard for another 2 weeks and the technician came and guess what, he took the wrong motherboard and I need to wait another day for him to come. I supposed there must be precedent to come back the very next day, first thing in the morning to fix up the motherboard. In total I’ve wasted 3 half days of leave just waiting for their ambiguous time line of 1 to 3 and most time they come later. Sick of this brand, can’t wait for all my other LG appliances to spoil so I can buy another brand product. Now I know what LG stands for - it’s “LOUSY GOODS!!!! and horrible service.

Should have read these reviews before purchasing my fridge. My bad! Shortly after purchase we had to replace the compressor. Now, a small plastic piece that connects the ice maker tube got a crack. We went to a ln appliance parts store for the part. They could not figure out what the required part was. LG gave us the part to order and after waiting 6 weeks, found out it looked nothing like the one we needed. Talked to LG again. They took all my info and said they needed to research and they would get back to me. That was a lie. No follow up. When I reached them again they told us customers can't buy the part, only technicians can order . So we have to hire a repair man to come and give us a $3 part??? Oh, but they have a "great" deal where you can pay $500 to have their repair man come and fix it no matter what. Brutal customer service. Brutal appliance. Do not buy LG. Heed the warnings in these reviews.

Do not buy this dryer. I purchased this January 4, 2025, only 16 months ago, and the drum has split. I've been trying to resolve this issue with their service department since May 13, 2026. The replacement drum was worse than the original drum. Today, May 28th, I'm hoping it will be resolved tomorrow. This has no reflection on the service technician, just subpar and lack of replacement parts.

If I could give a zero rating I would. Canadian Case Manager Madhav did not care that LG was at fault for losing paperwork and the warranty issues that I was experiencing. Compressor went twice on my fridge in 6 years at a cost of $700 to repair each time. He even admitted that there are a very high number of compressor issues with fridge units, but nothing has been done to improve the situation for customers. I will make it my goal to warn consumers / future purchasers / friends & family of the dangers associated with LG and its support, via websites and in store.

DO NOT BUY FROM LG I bought my first LG washer less than 6 months ago. It had a faulty door lock that made it vibrate and leak because it wasn't tight enough to seal properly when in use. LG sent an engineer out, who upon removing the door lock and door seal, found corrosion on the drum lip (the part hidden under the drum seal itself that is not user accessible) The engineer then lied about my repair. He said there was no issue with the lock, noted the rust and said it was probably from being used and also said I was aggressive and shouting. Luckily I have CCTV of the ENTIRE interaction which proves he's a liar. This is taking place in a household with two disabled vulnerable adults. I formally rejected the machine with Appliance City who I purchased it from, they told me that LG said the engineer report said there was no rust! Despite the engineers OWN photos and mine and CCTV proving differently. Appliance City keeps pushing me back to LG, LG hasn't even got back to me after I sent the CCTV proving the engineer was a liar. I'm shocked and appalled that LG would treat disabled customers like this, allowing engineers to outright lie about your conduct and bring your behaviour into disrepute. The fact they used my Mom's bowel cancer and the necessary washing we have to do to say the rust was caused by that. DISGUSTING. I have this in black and white in the engineers report. I have all the emails, the report, photos and CCTV. I am still left with a machine that I can't use because it leaks and having two physically disabled people in the house makes that a much more dangerous slip hazard.

I bought the black stainless steel French door refrigerator and the double range oven. I year later I noticed specks (discoloration) on the side of the refrigerator and the oven. Also a hairline crack on the inside of the fridge and the oven stains would not come out after I turned on self-clean I called LG and complained and was told there nothing they could do about it. If you loved to cook, DON’T BUY IT.
