Bad customer service

This company has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. For months, we have been calling about a problem with our oven. Every time we call, and we’ve called a lot, we are promised that someone would call us back within 24 hours and not one time has anyone called us back. After our calling back over and over and over again, we were finally and repeatedly told that our concerns would be escalated to the Presidential Liaison office and that someone from that group would call me back. I have not received a single call from that group even one time…..so much for the Presidential Liaison Department…..they are as uncaring, unprofessional and useless as the rest of Customer Service. And since no employee is ever allowed to call anyone else at LG and talk on the phone, and all they can do is send message to each other that go unanswered and unacknowledged, we have literally no option but to buy a new oven, since ours hasn't worked in months and we can't get anyone on the phone who is willing to talk to us or call back, even after about a dozen attempts. My entire house is LG, as was our last house, as is my daughter's house based on our recommendations. However, we will never buy an LG product again. In reading all the reviews, I can see that this is an overwhelmingly common complaint by many "former" customers. We have always been happy with their products, but now that we know we can never, ever speak to someone of any authority if we have another problem, we won't expose ourselves to this kind of frustration again. Have a nice life LG.....we're outta here! I just wish I could give them no stars!

Original Repair Case #: RNN250915016058 Case # I was given today: CNN250o29720270 On September 15 I ordered repairs for the freezer and non functioning ice maker. Repair Technician arrived at my home on September 18, and was unable to fix the problems. He rescheduled me for September 23, and cancelled. He then rescheduled me for September 25, and cancelled. He has rescheduled me for September 30, 8AM-12PM. I just got off the phone with your Customer Service, and was told "The ticket was completed/closed out". I asked what does that mean, and the answer was that the job has been completed. Well, if completed, why all the reschedules??? And why do the problems still exist? When I first scheduled repairs on September 15, I gave you folks my credit card #, and was told, "hold on my credit card by L/G will be deducted from my account within 24-48 hours of repair completion"!!! The technician is scheduled to be here tomorrow, so obviously the repair is not completed. My credit card was charged $403.43 on September 24-with no repair. We have a problem here, and I expect you to figure it out, and straighten it out, and make me whole, immediately! I was told I will hear back from your escalation people within 24-48 hours. Short of that, I shall give L/G the worst possible review on all sites that review product, performance, and service, contact the Better Business Bureau, and that is just for starters. Lg has the worst customer service ever. What’s the purpose of a warranty if you the company doesn’t acknowledge it. I have call customer 3 times in a week about my television cutting on and off. The only thing they want to do is keep doing a diagnostic test and it keeps doing the same thing. I WILL NEVER BY ANY LG PRODUCTS AGE. I love you Samsung. Should have stayed with the company I been using with no problems,

DO NOT BUY LG. I bought a brand new LG dryer. Right away it made a horrible noise. I contacted LG customer service multiple times and the customer service was awful. After talking with multiple people for over a week, they sent someone to repair my brand new dryer. They replaced the motor and fan and it is still making an awful noise. They are now going to come out for a second repair on a brand new dryer that I have only had for two weeks instead of replacing it. I would not recommend the warranty to anyone.

I bought a gas cooktop gas oven 6 years ago. I have replaced the igniter 3 times. I have replaced the oven control. Now the PCB board is toast and LG no longer has them available. They offered me 10% off of a new one. That’s $600 a year for a stove that they have told me to drop it off at the recycler. My 21 year old Maytag Dryer cost me $13 to fix yesterday.

They ran me around while I was needing a repair on my NEW drier. It took over a month to be told they could not fix my NEW drier. Now, as they are going to issue a refund, I am told it takes 6-8 weeks to receive the cheque. So, about 4 months to resolve this…WOW!

After purchasing a LG convection oven in January 2025, the lettering has disappeared and other places are rapidly becoming unreadable. I contacted customer service and this defect is called "normal" wear on the appliance. How can someone cook without the temperature settings. I thought LG products were quality and they would stand behind their products. We all know how much appliances have increased in price over the past few years but I would expect that something so minor (yet so important) wouldn't be overlooked in QA. Doesn't someone actually USE these appliances before they are mass produced? As I said, this oven is less than one year old and this normal wear began three months ago. I'm very disappointed with the response and lack of concern over something so minor that LG could potentially resolve easily. I will certainly reconsider my choices more carefully when purchasing major appliances in the future.

Have LG refrigerator and electric stove along with microwave. Let's start with refrigerator, ice maker keeps jamming. Stove, glass top is harder to clean than old GE. Stove. Microwave, popcorn when using the popcorn button it does not pop the bag all the way. Have to add about another 60 second. Also ice been does not hold much ice. I would never buy an LG product. Besides where there made.

After having months of dealing with LG on my dryer deciding when it wanted to work or not, I finally got someone out to look at it. Well the wires on the inside that were supposed to be attached to the side, were actually sitting on the drum and melting every time the dryer was in use and depending on where the wires were when it stopped, depended on when or if the dryer would work again because it was shorting out. AND a huge fire risk. The tech guy said this came that way from the manufacturer. So of course I called LG wonderful customer service back (not wonderful btw), and they said they would talk to the service guy and even submitted photos of everything before he took it all apart. Well 6 months goes by, I havent heard a thing from LG and then a collection notice comes for all the charges so of course I try to call back LG back and they have no record of such an event, so I'm stuck with a bill on a product that came from the manufacter that way to save my credit.

LG products DO NOT BUY PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING LG If I could give negative stars, I would! DISHWASHER: Moved into our new home in the middle of June. (Roughly 2 months). We had an LG dishwasher and within two weeks the dishwasher racks were COMPLETELY FRIED through. Like rotted to the bone! ALL 3 racks. I called LG customer service, hoping for help. Was on hold and passed around for over an hour. Not only were most of the people I talked to extremely unpleasant and blamed everything on the user. They said nothing was covered under warranty and if it was within warranty all of the racks were cosmetic and would NEVER have been under warranty. The very top rack, the smallest rack for purchase was over $300 (with their discount). LG said what I was doing wrong was I DID NOT turn on the sink for hot water for 5 minutes every time before starting a load of wash. THEN I was filling it too full (but I can assure you I didn’t). NEXT I was using too much dishwasher soap solution, BUT I use the dishwash pods for the dishwasher from Sam’s Club and set it on the “sensing” setting to make sure it was cleaned properly. LASTLY the dishwasher needed to be cleaned every month and I didn’t know if it had been (we moved in 2 weeks before the problem). Because of these things within one wash, all three racks were completely burned through!!! And according to everyone at LG customer service this was all my fault as the user. CLOTHS DRYER: When we purchased this house, we also went to Home Depot and purchased an LG washer and dryer top-of-the-line. Two months later, my dryer smells like a fireplace and the back wire is completely burnt! Again, I had to call LG because it’s under a two year manufacturer warranty. I am greeted with me being the user doing EVERYTHING WRONG! He said I was not properly loading the dryer that it was too full or that it was installed improperly. He proceeded to say that the problem was cosmetic and was not covered under warranty. I have done the same loads of wash that I have always done with every past dryer. So because my dryer smells like a fireplace and I’m pretty sure would catch the clothes and my house on fire. I am more than welcome to buy the replacement cosmetic part! With all my frustration with LG I talked to my parents to see if they’ve ever had this problem, but not to my surprise they have not because they do not have LG products. They also informed me that LG is one of the worst companies to deal with! And after dealing with their customer service, I would agree. NOTHING is covered under warranty, EVERYTHING is cosmetic, they blame everything on the customer, and they are RUDE to talk to on the phone! IF you buy LG you better buy a warranty that is not through them! We have had to deal with Home Depot and they have been extremely helpful! They have said that LG is wrong and they have helped us! Not only does Home Depot have amazing customer service. They actually help solve your problem without blaming everything on the user!

If you are looking for a fridge to make I've cubes do NOT get an LG. I just bought one and it's only 1 year old. The viking and everything is fine but I've had nothing but issues with ice. Ive called warranty companies for it and they've replaced every single part including the entire door. It worked for a month and was great. It's now not working yet again. I deeply regret my decision buying an lg fridge. Wish I went with a different company. And after reading so many negative reviews about lgs ice makers what was I thinking? And also why can't they fix this issue? DO NOT BUY LG

Spoke to many reps over the course of a month. All rude and interrupt you. Spoke to a Raina and she was just awful. Sent me a broken washer and treating me like I’m crazy and stupid (“ I already understand everything that’s why I’m interrupting because you don’t know anything” like what?) imagine not being able to have clean clothes for a month. Not being able to do laundry for your family for a month. Will never buy LG again. Hopefully my units are broken so I can get a refund and buy from a different company.

I purchase an LG Refrigerator that makes the craft balls paid over $3000 for it in June 21 it’s had 3 ice makers replaced 2 compressors and evaporators. And two other service calls because it was not cooling correct in four years. Needless to say, I’ve lost hundreds of dollars in spoiled food as it takes them three days to get out to repair it . I’ve been fighting with the over seas customer support for the last four years to replace it with no luck. I will never buy another LG appliance. I suggest you do the same.
