Bought a side by side, window touch LG refrigerator 4 years ago, and the compressor went out. I spoke to several technicians who all said LG compressor is trash.
I called the 800 # on the frig and had an LG Tech come out to replace the compressor since it was under 5 year warranty. He also mentioned that he has to replace compressors every day on LG refrigerators and that the new compressor he just installed is likely to go out in 4-5 years
