LG makes great products but their consumer service and warranty department are horrible. I called about an error code I'm getting on my washer/ drier over a month ago when the unit was still within warranty. They told me they needed to see a photo of the error message which i didn't take the first time. The guy told me 100% they would document my call and if I had the issue again, even if the warranty had expired by then, they would honor it based on the first call. The other day I had the same error message, this time I took a photo. However my warranty just expired about a week ago and now they don't wanna cover it! The worst part is the woman "Kathy" lied to me and said the number I called 800 243 0000 was only for out of warranty repairs. She gave me two other numbers which just went to a voicemail which said to call the first number I mentioned for warranty claims! I wasted two hours of my time going in circles with their automated system, and I specifically told her- don't send me on a fishing expedition, because i could sense she was lying. It's clear they just didn't wanna cover the repair. I also had a similar issue with an 85in TV I bought from them. This is no way to treat loyal customers. I would think twice before buying another one of their products.
