LG refused to allow me to get a tracking number so I could refuse shipment of an “exchange” for a microwave that stopped heating food. I originally thought they could refund it, since I got it in June and it did not function in July. However, they said only an exchange is possible. It took about two weeks and I was moving out my belongings from my home into storage and they still could not provide a tracking number. They declined to allow me to refuse shipment, claiming each time they escalated it and I would receive an email. I never did for 7 days. At that point, I just wanted to refuse shipment. My mail goes to a UPS store and the store said I needed a tracking number to refuse shipment. LG “customer service” refused to provide it despite multiple transfers to their authorization team. I will NOT guy another LG item again, based on their lack of accountable or effective customer service. Not providing a tracking number is ridiculous.
