I sold an item for £60 through the global shipping programme. I posted it using tracked mail to the Global Shipping Programme address in the UK. At this point, I had done my part. From the GSP centre, it's eBay's job to get the parcel to the buyer. But the buyer had given eBay the wrong address, so they didn't receive their parcel and put in a claim for it. eBay then refunded the buyer at my expense - so I now have no parcel and am £60 out of pocket. They've told me twice now that the parcel has been returned to me, but it hasn't. They've given me a tracking number with Evri which also shows the item has been delivered back to me but neither eBay or Evri can supply me with proof of delivery.
