It has been a great 6 months the first week. I will admit the app drove me nuts at first. However, Melody was helpful and the macros support team assisted me in resolving the human error and learning the technology. I did not realize how much my food thoughts how to eat what to eat etc badly warped. Melody did a great job in developing a healthy relationship with food. Especially no food is BAD food. I came into this thinking I just needed to understand macros and how to fuel my body. However, I have gained so much confidence in my food choices, and when and how much to eat. My goal is to eventually compete in a fitness competition. Melody's past and present experiences with competitions gave me a birds-eye view of what I didn't know or how much I have to eat and how to not go down the rabbit hole many ladies looking to compete develop eating aversions or even eating disorders.
I suffered a couple of minor life ups and downs during our 6 months and she helped me handle them without going to food for comfort. She also helped me when work went wacko and how to tackle some things and tools and tricks to overcome the frustrations sometimes by listening and sometimes offering advice.
I also suffered a back and major foot injury during our time and she also cheered me on and helped me overcome both including offering some different stretches to help from reinjuring or to stretch before a new machine or exercise I was using so I could stay on top of my goals.
I have learned to intuitively eat instead of being stuck to the app and was able to complete the program by giving up alcohol for most of the program helping to lose the weight that wasn't moving on scale.
Another great tool was "Be a squirrel pack food everywhere." which introduced me to some freeze-dried options for food to take with me or have on hand when I didn't have access to kitchen.
I came here hoping to get to 155 but I am at 160 and really happy that I enjoy food now and killed my sweet tooth. I have referred so many people to Macrosinc already and will continue. Once I get through my food injury and can start my next goal to gain and then a cut I will be back. I owe 1/2 my success to Melody and the other to my local personal trainer I would not be where I am today a year and 2 months after I started my journey at first on my own to set a habit to then put the next two important tools in play. Im so grateful for my coach she was AMAZING!!!
