Before I started with my coach Brittany I had been tracking macros on my own for about a year. I worked out regularly but felt like I wasn’t really making any progress anymore. She helped me go through a deficit phase to look leaner and reveal the muscle I had that was hidden. I then started a progressive bulk/muscle building phase for about the past six months. I needed to start doing different exercises with heavier weights at a regular gym in order to progress further. She helped me get out of my comfort zone and take on new machines and exercises. I am so happy with where I am currently and am excited to keep progressing more. In the deficit I lost about 10 pounds and since then I have regained about 7 of those pounds. I see that change on the scale however I don’t see the change in the way I look with my weight increasing. I feel like I am still leaner and more muscular which is what I was trying to achieve. The scale can be a scary thing but I have seen how you can change your body composition regardless of what the scale says. I am so happy I made the decision to start working with a coach! Besides building muscle I have also found a new love for vegetables, conquered my fear of the smith machine and increased my confidence!
