I believe that the coaching was too focused on "calories in vs calories out". For many folks who have experienced trauma, mental illness, and cultural differences, this mindset does not apply. There are several factors that impact weight loss outside of the calories you take in and burn. Some folks have disabilities (some invisible) that prevent them from walking 10000+ steps a day. Some folks have illnesses where many foods cannot be consumed. There are many factors that were not considered during my coaching experience.
