Extremely Disappointed – Still No Blinds After 2 Months and No Proper Resolution We ordered blinds from Make My Blinds on 2nd June, spending £357.96 on 3 x double roller blinds and 1 x Roman blind. We are now in early August and still have not received the majority of our order. We purchased the blinds under the impression that they would be due for delivery on or around the 6th/7th June, however almost immediately after ordering, they delayed our order to w/c 23rd June, then again to w/c 2nd July - stating that the materials were out of stock both times. Unsure why they are allowed to advertise completely false estimations of delivery dates when they know that the material is out of stock. Completely misleading! Despite chasing repeatedly since then, we are still waiting for our 3 x double roller blinds that totalled just over £310 excluding delivery. To make matters worse, the Roman blind that did arrive was faulty, which we were told was likely damaged in transit. This has now been replaced however should was not what we expected quality wise when ordering. We were informed after arriving at our local DHL depot to collect our remaining 3 x double roller blinds that they had been returned to sender by DHL, despite no delivery attempts being made, an email just 24 hours earlier informing us that they were ready for collection, and no contact from either DHL or Make My Blinds about any returns to sender? DHL’s tracking showed confusing and contradictory information, and we wasted significant time visiting their depot, only to be told our items had been returned to sender without our knowledge. Neither Make My Blinds nor DHL attempted to resolve the situation proactively - we had to chase at every step. Make My Blinds have been completely unwilling to offer any compensation for the inconvenience, delays, or poor service, flat out refusing a partial refund (despite our consumer rights) and instead offering to refund the £9.99 delivery fee... what a joke. We are now seeking further action and will be attempting to reorder from elsewhere as these will probably arrive before our Make My Blinds products ever arrive (ha, how ridiculous). When we tried to raise our concerns, we were met with the response that because the issues were with the courier, they couldn’t issue any refund. This is incredibly disappointing - as consumers, our contract is with Make My Blinds, not DHL or their manufacturer, and after more than 2 months, we still don’t have our blinds. We are first-time buyers and spent a lot of time researching before choosing this company, but this experience has been stressful, disappointing, and frustrating from start to finish. We ordered from 2 other made-to-measure companies and have had much more positive experiences with them which just highlights the absolutely shocking service from Make My Blinds. We would not recommend Make My Blinds at all and will not be ordering from them again.
