This company lowered my credit limit for no reason at all. They refused to increase it again when I phoned them and were abrupt and reluctant to tell me why my limit was reduced. It caused me to suffer considerable embarrassment when I wanted to use my card to pay off a purchase because my card was rejected and my letter telling me about my reduced credit was received two days after they stopped it. Why does John Lewis have a company like this with their name on the cards. A shambolic outfit to say the least. Now for even more.....low and behold, this morning I had a letter re-instating my original credit limit but no apology at all for the inconvenience or anything else. Obviously Newday has had so many complaints from people they have had to re-instate customers original credit limits, however mine has increased by £4000. UNBELIEVABLY!!
