I have an Argos classic credit card with new day and we changed our family surname. It’s basically my husbands original surname and a promise to his now passed dad he would do. So nothing dodgy as all my creditors have been updated. Sent the certified change of name deed to them and they have now issued me with an additional card in my new name and not replaced the actual main account card. So there are two cards on the account and only the additional card has arrived. So can’t use either. Why would I want an additional card holder as the same person? Isn’t it some form of breech of data to issue an additional card without the customer requesting it also? Makes no sense and not something I requested. I also can’t use the additional card unless the main one is activated. Still says the main card is on its way but I get a weird feeling it’s not going to turn up at all. Hopefully I could be wrong. Thing is I cannot even ring and speak to customer services and pass security without the main card and knowing what the full card number is. Can’t be doing with the company.
