If it was possible to put zero stars I would. I paid £49.70 to send a clock, which was clearly stated on the order, £29.00 of which was insurance for £600 and a bit extra for next day delivery. In my thinking the least amount of time in transit the less likelihood of damage being caused. The clock was packaged very well, it took nearly 2 hours to do. I purchased fragile tape and covered the parcel with it. Well that was a mistake it was like an invitation to treat it with as much disrespect as possible! The clock arrived in pieces, the movement had several broken pieces and the corner of the box squashed and with a big hole in it. After filling out the necessary forms to claim compensation, sending various photos etc I was told my claim had been declined as it was a prohibited item yet they were quite happy to take my money. My advice is to avoid using them at all costs and to think I didn’t want to use Hermes as I’d heard bad things about them!
