"attempted delivery" - you use this phrase a lot. I do not believe it means what you think it means.
It is customary to knock and / or ring the doorbell when attempting delivery. Today was perhaps the twentieth Parcelforce attempted delivery where the driver did neither. Useless. Nobody should use you as their courier.
