“Can not believe the stress they’ve put me through! I ordered something from France for a friend, it got to the UK no problem, then it arrived at Parceforce depot, they attempted to deliver twice, leaving a card, tried calling the number numerous times, was left hanging for hours (no exaggeration) didn’t get to speak to anyone, told over and over to go to their website and book a redelivery, which I did 3 times, to be safe, redirected to my post office. Nothing, except when I check tracking, there’s a photo of a random parcel, at a random front door, signed by complete stranger! 2 weeks since first delivery attempt and I get a letter saying they have a parcel held at depot 40 min drive from me, and to call to arrange redelivery!!
No answer, so I drive up there in the pouring rain, where a lady handed me my parcel within 2 mins, like she had it ready! No explanation, nothing…
Photos show random large parcel, and then actual small parcel that they attempted to deliver.”
“Really bad courier please avoid at all cost. Your mental health will go down.
Playing cat and mouse the entire time trying to get the parcel force driver. Sometimes it delivers i m not home sometimes i m home it says the courier came but that a lie i was home all day. I told them to deliver to the nearby post office they keep delivering at my adress. Worse i try to reach them by phone after 2 hours no one even my granma is faster at replying . complete waste of money and time please avoid at all cost”
“If I had the option I would not have given them even one star... you can never get through to questions their incompetency because there are so many people on lines complaining. A parcel should have been delivered in the middle of last week and still waiting. They leave you waiting for five hours daily as if you have nothing better to do and then arrive out of the blue when you have stepped away for 10 minutes. There were clear instructions on the door to leave it as it was a cardboard box for a laptop to be returned and there was no need for a signature. The bloke just ignored it... he left two cards with no details whatsoever or any time he arrived Ref: PBZR2388194001”
“Parcelforce, do something about your rubbish service. 11/08/2025 several identical parcels were dispatched around the world from Portland, Oregon, USA. Germany have theirs. Australia have had theirs. Mine? Since 20/08/2025 it has been stuck in Tonbridge Depot. I have not received a note or bill for the customs charge. Without the 17 digit number I cannot pay charge. You will not release my parcel until I pay the charge. My experience is very similar to previous reviewer below. So what is going wrong and do you intend to fix it? My son has had a parcel from US ordered since, and delivered no problem from a company that uses APC and not your terrible company as the end deliverer. None of the options with your chatbot are for "I don't have the 17 digit number". No one answers your phone. So I am about to visit your depot, it's only 40 miles away.”
“Absolute shambles of a company, they loose parcels, damage parcels lie to customers about their deliveries.
Their customer care is none existent staffed by rude, thick cretins!, a totally useless pile of shxx, same goes Royal Fail !!.”
“I have stock sitting in a parcelforce depot waiting for a customs charge to be paid. I can only pay the customs charge if I have the 17 digit reference number on the letter that I have not received. Even though they emailed me to say that the parcel was in the UK they decided to send the customs letter by actual post. The email they sent me is a noreply email and I have wasted probably 3 hours over this week on hold trying to get through to the help line. IF the customs bill is not paid within so many days they will send the parcel back to Germany. All I need is the 17 digit reference number and a copy of the invoice - this shouldn't be so difficult. Also if your phone lines are so busy - offer an alternative means of getting in touch.”
“I have far better things to od than spend over 1 hr on trying to contact their help desk , the IVR messages are pointless. I have paid the customs duty on my parcel and it is still showing awaiting payment yet the email when I paid said delivery today Thu 28 Aug. With the wrong address on it , when I eventually got through on 03457740740 I confirmed the correct delivery address, however it has not arrived ref XXXXXXXXXX, so I am now on the phone again ( 48 min and counting) trying to get through, this parcel if from France a major part of a motorcycle worth over £200 .”
“Awful customer service. The staff are rude, and getting through on the phone takes forever — usually a 40–90 minute wait, only to get no real help once answered. Sending an email is pointless too, as they don’t respond. Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would highly recommend using other couriers instead of Parcelforce.”
“Why does any business use Parcel Force?
I have been waiting for a delivery at the times specified by them in an email working from a room where I can see the front door. We also have a ring doorbell which alerts if someone comes. No one has been to the house from Parcel Foce. I received an email a few minutes ago saying unfortunately the parcel couldn’t be delivered as the address was inaccessible! Perhaps they couldn’t open the little wooden gate (which I would have seen them struggling to open if indeed they had tried).
I tried tracking to no avail, I tried find a phone number but only give same options as online. I tried the post office telephone number but they had a 49 minute wait wait time.
I tried the company I bought from but they could only offer to send out another package at their expense.
So again, why would anyone use this service as they obviously didn’t try to deliver at all and make it very difficult for anyone to complain directly to them .”
“If I could rate this experience with Parcelforce 0stars, I would!
What an absolute shamble of a service from waiting on the phone every time I called them for 50 minutes before speaking with someone and that’s 17 times I’ve had to call them due to them holding onto my international package sent from my mother in law in the Caribbean for a hole 19 days! Then they notified me that the box was damaged (clearly their fault) then they lose my box within their warehouse in Coventry and then call me to ask me to call my mother in law overseas to get the description of the box and the contents. I was LIVID!
Then it took them 6 days to “find it” and then “repair it” and then another 11 days for the status to update on their system that it’s sorted. I actually received this box on the 20th August, when this box actually arrived in their warehouse on 1st August!!!!
When I opened my box items were missing and damaged to say the least, they actually took eveythig out of the original box that was sent and slumped everything into one of their Royal Mail bags everything all messed up and damaged. I have never had such an awful experience like this with any other company ever. This has to be the WORST BY FAR! I will never use them.
So I have logged a complaint with their rubbish “escalation teams” and for all the times I’ve had to call (17 times) they want to offer me £20??!! I told them to keep my complaint open and escalate it further! I am SO ANGRY!”
“I am very disappointed with my experience using Parcelforce. I trusted them to deliver my luggage safely, and instead my bag was left in a place where rats got into it, tearing open all my carefully packed dry food items (protein powders, raisins, herbal teas, and other health powders) all which I got for my siblings suffering from cancer and I wants to promote her protein intake.Clothes I was sending to her as gifts were contaminated of which I had to dispose out of anger as they smell like poop and pee.
I raised a claim for compensation, providing evidence including pictures, product details, and even price tags where receipts were unavailable. Instead of acknowledging the poor handling of my parcel, Parcelforce dismissed my claim and blamed “insufficient packaging.” This is extremely frustrating, as my bag was well-packed and properly labelled to show that it contained dry food.
To make matters worse, communication was repetitive and disjointed. I had already supplied details of the damaged items, yet I was repeatedly asked for the same information. After weeks of back-and-forth, they refused to take responsibility, hiding behind “packaging guidelines.”
This has been a very stressful and disappointing experience. As a paying customer, I expected professionalism, care, and accountability none of which I received. I will not be trusting Parcelforce with any of my parcels again and cannot recommend their service to anyone who values their belongings.”
“Three purchases over the last couple of months have been sent via Parcelforce. None have arrived. Multiple attempted deliveries to completely random address. No cards left. Tracking is a joke. Had to drive to a depot to collect one of them. Staff were unhelpful and one was achingly stupid, like she was doing me a massive favour. Gave precise delivery details for the outstanding item and STILL they couldn’t deliver it. No faith in them at all. AVOID.”
“Can't figure out how these guys are legal?!?
Absolute joke of a service they provide - not even worth explaining my experiences (all 3 out of 3).
My advice: Avoid dealing with them as much as possible!”
“I would give zero stars if I could.
The delivery never arrived and the driver is a LIAR saying that the delivery was attempted! I can prove that no delivery was attempted (CCTV).”
“They don't leave cards, don't deliver parcels, they don't send emails, they lie in tracking. Impossible to arrange anything with them. I was holding the phone for 50 minutes with their customer service, website doesn't work, no pick up information.”
“Shocking experience with Parcelforce. I was supposed to receive four boxes, but I only received three. They said the missing parcel was a separate delivery, but nothing delivered. This parcel is still missing after 5 days and they not willing to investigate. Dont use these people.”
“Utterly useless.
Parcelfarce, miss-spelling intended, seem to have contracts with several large companies who offer 'next day delivery'. In effect it can be up to a week before your consignment arrives.
If you talk to the drivers they will tell you what a mess Parcelfarce are in in terms of bad management and indeed total incompetency on the part of those in charge.”
“The driver "attempted" delivery to the wrong address. We can see him, on our CCTV, looking at our door, but still knocking on an vacant flat. If a card was left, it is in a locked post box at the vacant flat. We've tried contacting them, but they aren't answering, even though the website shows they're open until 7pm.”
“Nothing new to report, just the usual lies about delivery attempt made and card left with instruction about what to do. Why do companies use this service, I wont buy from this supplier again. Friday afternoon, is there a pattern here.”
