PC Specialist have an exceptionally informative website, I especially liked the customisation possibilities and the clever information behind the customisation which informed you if upgrades that you choose are compatible with each other. With this in mind, I would have thought some simple inventory management based on this customisation would allow the choices made to be reserved for an order when making the option choices. In my case delivery was delayed waiting for parts, yet I was permitted to choose upgrades in the customisation screen. Other options were greyed out as unavailable, so the obvious conclusion is the customisation I chose was available. Then to be told it is delayed waiting for parts was disappointing. Seems like a simple extension to the compatibility function to reserve inventory for orders so that target dates can be achieved.
