My old PC broke down terminally so I needed my next "forever" computer.
Went to Currys to get an external drive to do a hard disk recovery copy.
I also looked to see what machines they offered. A few usual suspects, some "supermarket specials", and a couple from PCSpecialist, a company I'd never heard of before. But, all were "standard build". Nothing that fitted my desired spec.
Searched out a few YouTube reviews and every one of them was positive, so I looked at the website.
Very easy to navigate. Very easy to configure exactly what components I wanted, even down to the thermal paste used on the CPU & cooler.
The spec could be tweaked with ease and so it was easy to see what the price implication would be. Also, at every change, you would be warned of any potential incompatibilities. For example, if you wanted to overspec a power supply, it would tell you what the load would be on it from the other components already chosen, and thus save you money without compromising overall performance. It helps to guide you towards a balanced system.
Purchase price was very reasonable, and the cost for building was trivial - presumably from their bulk buying power discounts. As for build quality, I have never seen a neater assembly. All cables routed out of the way and clipped safely.
At every stage you could follow the build process - this was explained befor you placed the order so you knew what to expect. My machine arrived six days from order, a day or two faster than the estimate at the start.
I cannot fault any part of my experience with PCSpecialist. My new computer works perfectly and I've managed to customise it exactly to what I want.
Five Star reccommendation without any reservations.
