PC was build and delivered quickly with plenty of communication from PCSpecialist on the progress of the order. So far everything seems good with the computer, and all in all I think I got value for money.
However... I had a nighmare when I first turned on the computer. It immediately tried to install Windows but couldn't find a network. I knew I had ordered a wireless networking card, so couldn't understand what the problem was. The Windows install wouldn't progress past the 2nd screen. In the end I had to use the terminal to bypass this part of the installation process so I could get into Windows and determine the problem. Turned out the wireless card was not installed.
A quick ring to customer services revealed that the wireless card was actually a tiny USB dongle. This had been chucked in welcome pack box with the spare screws and brackets and just looked like a lump of black plastic. Once inserted in a USB port we were able to get online and activate windows.
Please PCSpecialist, if you are reading this - either ship your computers with these dongles already in a USB port, or put them in clearly labelled packaging. The instructions provided were not helpful either because they are so generic.
Other than that everything has been good.
