I'll start this review with my second experience: In less then one hour bought the item I wanted with the store credit playerup offered me from my not so great first experience. Process started in less then 30 minutes after I submited the buy form. Seller delivered in ~ 15 minutes ... checked and secured the account in another 10 minutes and that was it. It actually made me trust playerup again and I will use them in the future. Based on my second experience i'll rate 5 with the mention that if they have a super busy period they can have big delays and if you are on your first playerup purchase ( like i was on my first experience ) you can get frustrated or anxious. Original post: My first experience: 1. Created an account and tried to pay an item through paypal. Always redirected me to safecharge to input my credit card info even if I selected paypal everytime. Gave up. 2. [ 19.01.2023 at 13:21 ] Bought store credit in the exact amount of the item I wanted to purchase. Paypal finished payment but safecharge's website gave an error and the payment wasn't automatically registered by playerup. Opened a ticket right away. 3. [ 20.01.2023 at 12:49, 24 hours later ] The site responded to that issue but actually the credits appeared in my account around ~ 16:00 4. [ 20.01.2023 at 19:18 ] Submitted form to buy the item Received automated response that transaction will happen in 1 to 24 hours. 5. [ 21.01.2023 at 07:xx, 12 hours later ] The credit was deducted from my account balance. 6. [ 22.01.2023 at 09:27, more then 36 hours after I submitted the form ] Seller informs me that playerup just started selling the item to another buyer. 7. [ 22.01.2023 at 17:21, almost 48 hours after I submitted the form ] I receive mail: Pre Middleman Order Startup - Transaction ID: 98407810-90 8. [ 23.01.2023 at 04:36 ] seller informed Playerup and me on 3 way conversation that the account was sold in another transaction, on the Playerup site nonetheless 9. [ 01.02.2023 at 13:48 ] after more tickets submitted managed to refund the amount to store credit 10 [ 02.02.2023 at 14:34 ] managed to get my money back in my bank account So ... 14 days with my money blocked for a screw up playerup did, the amount sent vs the amount refunded was short almost 10 dollars ... and a lot of hassle to get my money back. Even if in the end i got my money back I would not recommend this site. LE after Playerup response here: i had multiple super urgent tickets opened for every step of the process that was delayed. LE 2: actually i didn't receive any coupon for the $50. That would have been nice and it would have made up for the 2 week hassle. LE 3: I see that 50 dollars was just added to my account credit. Fair enough. So, i'll give them that. To clarify, i will post in conversation chat to: the difference comes from the exchange from my local currency to us dollars and back. I know it's nobody's fault but i still got almost 10$ difference because of the refund. That doesn't matter. You made up with that account credit. So ... a suggestion if you may allow me: when a buyer buys an item, that item should be automatically withdrawn from listing so this situation will not happen again. The entire process ( or most part of it ) can be fully automated. So, the new rating will be composed of this: 5 out of 5 stars for fairness, good support 3 out of 5 stars for the delays and the lack of automation. That's a general rating of 4 out of 5 !
