Last night, I ordered pizza about two hours ahead of when we expected to eat and received a confirmation. I visited with the friends that I was planning to feed, and when the half hour window of the promised arrival of the pizza had passed, I consulted my order and found in my junk email a notice sent approximately half an hour earlier that my order was cancelled. In order to find out why, I was directed to the "app", which I didn't have. When I went onto the Postmates site, there was no way to get information on my order, no way to get an explanation, no way to lodge a complaint. Today, trying to communicate to Postmates or Uber about my order, the same thing. We were very hungry and inconvenienced, cancelling our dinner because of the new logistical considerations. No word, no explanation, no attempt to redress the lack of performance by Postmates. Uber, no better.
