The driver showed up to what I thought was my address, I told her how to get in and to drop it off at my door and I gave her the code since I couldn’t walk to the door to get it.
Turns out she delievered it to the wrong building a block away. Literally one minute after she dropped it off, my neighbor went to get it and it wasn’t anywhere. I called her and she said she was 30 minutes away (??) and wouldn’t come back. Then hung up on me.
After a Sherlock Holmes investigation for a phone number, they said she is too far away, they don’t do refunds and wouldn’t replace the order. Basically, sorry! You’re screwed.

“Postmates is horrible. They had a nice promo for me to use BUT the delivery person sent it to the wrong house. I contacted customer support and tried to get help because I never received my order. This happened on August 9th. Today is already August 21st and there is still no resolution. I’ve been calling every few days because it doesn’t make sense for me to suddenly lose money on food I never received. I don’t know how long this would take to be resolved but it definitely is a clear indicator for me to NOT ever use it again. The photo shows that it was delivered to someone else. I do not live at that address. Don’t even know where that is!”

“Straight up scammers. Go to grubhub. I placed an order with a wait time of 45 min. Right after I placed the order, I got a notification of a delay. It went to 1 hour 40 minutes for a place 5 minutes away. I immediately called to cancel because I wouldn't be there any more, I told them immediately. They told me I would have to pay $40 to cancel the order. Then some "manager" called me, just kept repeating themselves and was a complete waste of time. He offered me a credit of less than half for my troubles. Could care less about this credit, these billion dollar scammers won't get a dollar from me. Extremely predatory and seems like an illegal practice. Will find out from my lawyer”

“Absolutely AWFUL customer service. I've been a vegetarian for 15 years, my order was incorrect and had meat all mixed into it. I literally cannot eat that without getting very sick. My item was eligible for a refund or credit. I wasted money and had to buy another meal on another app (obviously deleted Postmates and Uber). I've worked in customer service for 15 years, I am genuinely baffled that they couldn't offer any help. Ridiculous.”
“I created an order through the restaurant website and when I showed up to pick it up (not even delivery) the store had no order. I contacted support and they said it wasn’t eligible for a refund but could tell me why. Super useless. They couldn’t even get my name right in the support chat.”
“On February 18, 2023 I tried to place an order on Postmates website for 2 hamburgers for $30. I kept getting the message that the restaurant seemed to be a long way from my home. It is 1 mile. I tried several times and kept getting the same message. I never received a confirmation on the website that any of my attempts were successful (in another words a confirmation on the site that the order was placed). I finally gave up and went to the DoorDash site and successfully complete a $30 order for the same two hamburgers. However, there was one Postmates order that was completed though I did not receive a confirmation on the site. When the driver arrived with an order and said it was Postmates, there was total confusion as we told him we ordered from Door Dash. After several minutes he said, "Oh, I see the mistake, here is your order." We thought it was our DoorDash Order, but later found out is was a Postmates order. The DoorDash order arrived 10 minutes later on our porch but we weren't expecting a 2nd order so it stayed on the porch all night and the hamburgers were ruined. I asked Postmates to give me a credit for $30 because it was the problems with the website (message about restaurant being a long way away and not getting on order confirmation on the website). The consequence of all this is I paid $60 for 2 hamburgers (as the 2nd 2 were ruined). Postmates offered me a $10 credit on my next purchase, which means nothing to me as why would I use Postmates again afther this horrible experience. I am on social security and the result is I paid $60 for 2 hamburgers. Postmates needs to correct website regaring the erroneous message, which may have resulted in me not getting a confirmation that an order was placed. (I did get a confirmation email from Postmates after I placed the DoorDash order, which I did not see until the next day.)
What kind of a business does not stand behind the peformance of their website. I would like a $30 credit to my paypal acct.”
“This is the worst delivery company ever! Absolutely no customer service. The drivers that deliver the food are HORRIBLE. I have contacted them several times about missing orders, as well as orders that were completely damaged upon delivery. I am still waiting for a response from the "customer service" department for a refund. I deleted the app and will never use them again. Way too many other delivery companies out there that are reputable. In conclusion, stay far away from Postmates and Uber Eats. I also suggest contacting the better Business bureau if you had issues with Postmates.”
“I put in an order and immediately canceled it due to my family chose to go out instead. I was charged $65 and they refused to refund saying the merchant already started the order. Absurd an order could possibly get started in 2 minutes. And if the order couldn't be canceled why did I not receive the order. Postmates has a cancellation option on the website and they will not take responsibility. I always feel bad for customer service people having to recite the company nonsense, they do not have any control. The representative was as understanding as he could be. It is the company that is stealing my money.”
