Your first question, ‘What went wrong?’ needs to be amended to ‘what went right?’.
I was hanging on for 7 months, living with my daughter and family, having sold my house (in an acceptable amount of time by my solicitor). Much of the delay was caused by the absolute incompetence of PPL’s recommended solicitors whereby the contract had to be sent back several times because of errors. Their response to my complaints was to ask my solicitor to tell me to stop writing/ringing them. This company should not be entertained at all costs.
