Do avoid at all costs. After much delay and no communication in November 2021 I instructed a local solicitor to manage both my sale and purchase this was 8 weeks in to process. Even though starting again was not what I had planned it was much easier and cost effective and timeframes realistic. I closed my case with PPL in December 2021. I moved mid February 2022. This week I have had communication from PPL welcoming me and ready to commence with my purchase I find this comical and unbelievable. When I wrote to remind them I had left and since instructed a local firm and actually moved in my new property I received a curt email back questioning why and again asking if they could act on my purchase. Obviously not read my email as I had completed already. Eventually my case has now been closed. Also the cost had increased by an additional fee of £995 pounds from my original quote in August 2021. My local firm had cost less than both quotes PPL gave. Due to lack of incompetence and none existent communication I would recommend avoiding at all costs. It was a stressful few months when I reflect as house buying is not straight forward at the best of times. Strike Estate agents who I found to be hood did the recommendation so I would avoid this area if using Strike. Get a local Conveyancing firm to do the work !
