My machine failed in the same way as Chris Hannon's did (twice) in her review below, namely, the hydraulic system broke and the plate stopped retracting, rendering the machine useless. I noticed oil up and down the piston rod so I imagine the hydraulic seal broke. Whatever went wrong, I'm told it will now cost me $250 to ship it back for a free repair. For that price, I can buy a whole new 2 ton table top press. Oh well, expensive lesson learned.
