First time flying from Birmingham so hadn't used the airparks self park carpark on Mackadown Lane, even though I have used purple parking to book my holiday parking many times. Was also a little concerned because of the extensive roadworks on the M42 in the vicinity of the airport, however the instructions to get to the carpark were excellent. The carpark is a little way from the airport but traffic was light and with the regular shuttle bus getting to and from the terminal was straightforward. Staff at the carpark and the bus drivers were friendly and helpful -oh and there is a chippy among the shops around the corner that is open evenings for a top up before the drive home.
