It all went swimmingly until EasyJet cancelled My return flight so I knew I would incur a £20 late pick-up charge. I paid it and went to My car. Now I know that when I get in the car it will always have been left in gear. So I started the engine and engaged the clutch, came out of gear and to My surprise the car started moving forward towards a perimeter fence as there was an incline. I realised immediately that the handbrake incredulously had not been engaged the night before. I reported this to the front-desk and received an apology plus the comment that "there could have been a nasty accident" That is certainly an understatement ! My car could have hit the fence causing front damage and I would then have been stranded probably for hours 180 miles from My home having to make rescue and repair arrangements. So Purple Parking on this occasion did not make me happy in any way. I was just glad to leave the site with My car intact. That is not to say that I will not be using them again as I have never had a problem like this before in the numerous bookings that I have made.
