I took my phone to a local shop, wher i bought it, for a warranty repair: two plastic strips need to be repaired, which are located on the left and right of the fold and serve to protect the phone from dust entering. This damage was not caused by a fall. It happened after I simply opened the phone—first on one side, and after a few days, it happened on the other side as well. I absolutely do not recommend the Z Flip. It is just expensive. Typing is a nightmare because the keyboard is very small. It is poorly built, there are several problems around the fold, and customer service will do everything to avoid covering the repair costs. After one and a half months, I was informed that Dynafix, the official Samsung repair partner, had determined that the phone was damaged due to a fall and that the battery and display needed to be replaced. I immediately stated that the damage had nothing to do with a fall, but they stuck to their position and said I should contact Samsung if I disagreed. I contacted Samsung, and after long discussions and sending photos clearly showing that the display was perfect (no scratches, still with the original protective film), we received no help. They apologized but said they had to respect Dynafix’s decision. For further repairs, I was told to return to the store. Samsung’s customer service clearly does not care about the customer and brushes it off through Dynafix. From other customers’ experiences, it is clear how this partner operates. The most absurd part is that they send me back to the store for a defect on their own product. I have been a loyal customer for years, and this is the first time I have asked for service. If I break something, I simply buy a new one. This is truly not my fault, and I am deeply disappointed that they leave me hanging like this.
