I wish I could give negative stars. I no longer work for Walmart, but I had to deal with Sedgwick quite a few times and every single time it was nothing but stressful and inconvenient. I had an 8 week medical leave due to surgery and was not paid until a week before I went back to work. They denied my leave for covid because I wasn’t sick enough to be in the hospital (even though I tested positive 3 times on both home and lab tests, and worked in food service so it was LITERALLY illegal for me to be at work). Recently I injured my ankle and went to the emergency room and then an orthopedic doctor. The orthopedic doctor put me in a walking boot and said I could return to work on light duty. Sedgwick didn’t send the paperwork to my doctor until almost a week after my initial claim, and I’m sure they only did so because I contacted them about it. I left Walmart for a new job within the following two weeks, but I was in consistent contact with HR, who informed me that they never received any information whatsoever from Sedgwick. Today I was informed that my claim was denied due to not receiving information from my doctor. Not that it matters anymore since I’m working elsewhere, but this is entirely false, as I actually watched them fax the paperwork to Sedgwick after I signed the release form at the doctor’s office. This company is inconsiderate, unreliable, and overall a nightmare to work with. 0 stars. Do not recommend.
