No matter how cheap it is, do not rent from this company. AutOne also going by the name Surprice are 100% an illegitimate car rental company. It is a scam. When we first went to pick up our car, there was another person complaining that the price they were charging her was higher than her quote. They provided no explanation at all. She had to just pay it. When I came to collecting my car, the person in the office showed me on a sheet of paper where the car was damaged and if there was any extra damage to take a video of it. He refused to come check the car with me. I took a video as instructed, even though it was late at night and the car park was fully lit. The car had a very low front left tire, but I filled it myself at a garage. During the rental we had no incidents whatsoever, so didn't think twice about any issues in returning it. I was very wrong. Firstly there was a minute chip in the windscreen, it was as small as a grain on sand. They insisted that the full windscreen needed to be replaced as it was unsafe, nevermind they gave me a car with a flat tire. This is normal wear and tear and ridiculous to charge to replace. Secondly the alloy was scuffed. In the damage drawing, there was damage to that area of the car and it is visible in the video. Easy fix? Nope. Not at all. The person assessing the car said that he can't see the damage because it's night time. He says we should've taken 200 videos and photos. Then he shoved an iPad at me and told me to sign. When I said I refuse to as I dispute the damages, his tone changes. He threatens to charge the card regardless. Again I calmy dispute this with him and after a few minutes of getting nowhere, I ask to speak to the manager. He refuses. I ask again and he said that it won't do anything. Again I ask. He says there is no manager. Again I ask to speak with the manager and he says that he is manager. I ask for his name, he says Mario. Myself and his co-worker hear him say this. Another co-worker walks in and I ask who is that manager. He says there is no manager. I ask him to tell me the name of the person I was dealing with, he pauses, looks at him as if he doesn't know what to say and then the other co-worker juts in with "Mario". At this point he says that he is done with me and will just charge the card. No explanation of what work needs to be done or how much it would cost. This place is a scam. They rely on you being in a rush, not knowing your consumer rights and being intimidated by them. Avoid at all costs. Get the train. Even walking is better than dealing with this company.
