Booked in UK using Amex. Arrived at pickup in Milan without a Mastercard credit card ( don’t own one) but I offered to leave cash instead. Was informed this would cost 250 euros more!!
It feels like a total scam … I walked out and went next door and hired a car with another company who took Amex and who were very polite and the car was great, despite no pre booking. I’m out of pocket by £95 but I just didn’t trust this company. Go elsewhere is my only advice. Do t be fooled by cheaper prices.
