It’s a little early for a true review - I just got the lat tower a few days ago. I also couldn’t decide between 3 and 4 stars. Part of this review is about the shipping. It’s free - to be fair - which is to say that it’s couched inside the cost of the product by the seller. Nevertheless it feels good to the buyer. All that aside, the shipping company’s communication was poor at best. Then, they sub-contracted it to another freight company, whose commo was even worse. It arrived some 6 days after it was supposed to, while I was out of town on business, as it turns out. As far as the tower itself: it certainly seems extremely sturdy - coming close to something commercial-grade. However, the 90 deg support brackets did not line up with the holes on the frame. I ended up having to drill holes to get it to fasten and remedy the situation. The cable length is also a bit short; causing the selector bar to be 1 plate high. I’m sure this can be remedied as well, with a trip to the hardware section of Lowe’s. But . . . Should I have to do this? I think it’s going to be a great unit and I’ve no regrets. But while it’s certainly a lot less expensive than comparable pieces - at $1800 - I’d like to have seen a little better shipping service, and some more quality control.
