I’ve tried many of the popular mediation apps for years Waking Up, Calm, Headspace.
While I did learn a lot from these apps, in the 1,000+ meditation practice session Id had prior to TM, I never had a “profound experience.” I never felt anything close to what TM calls “transcending.” Each of these sessions seemed like work - I did them because I felt I had to, but never really wanted to practice or looked forwards to it.
From my first TM session, I knew I’d stumbled on to something different and special. In more than 50% of my twice daily medication practice sessions, I have felt a different state of consciousness and have finished each session feeling like I had invested my time wisely.
Clear headed and refreshed, I have been able to make better decisions and be more present in conversations and interactions with loved ones.
