There is a misrepresentation in your introductory class. It stated that is a technique only. However, the nature of the course itself has several obvious religious traits that are somewhat impose upon the students. They are, and should be make very clear from the beginning:
* Offerings and the 1:1 (this is clear religious and ceremonial in nature);
* Personality enforcement, whenever talking about the master it is refer to him in present tense (although he passed) and as if he is among us.
These two behaviors are clearly religious and almost like a personality cult. I felt very uncomfortable, misled, and somehow in a bait-and-switch scheme.
I made very clear, from the onset that I'm not religious and am uncomfortable with it.
