I did not go in with much expectations, but I am so thankful that I did the course! I've tried a few different meditation techniques in the past, but for whatever reason, I'd have to admit that none of them really stuck as a habit (some of which could even be lack of motivation, so I am not blaming anything but honestly sharing my experience). Plus there was a bit of guilt in not being able to follow all the instructions ("take your attention to X" etc) and controlling thoughts / distractions etc. I really appreciated the one-on-one initiation as well as the incredibly warm and insightful online videos offered as part of the TM course. The TM course has given me a very different framework to think about the goals and benefits of meditation, thoughts during meditation, etc, which has been very effective for me so far. Besides, I seem to have latched on the Bob Roth's daily morning-evening group meditations and the genuine love and wisdom that's passed on there. I hope I can continue the practice! Thank you, thank you, thank you for offering this course to the masses!
