Uber Eats policy on refunds is the stupidest policy I've ever experienced. The customer service team is unhelpful and is almost impossible to speak to a supervisor. I used the app for the last time today. I deleted all of my accounts and will not be coming back as a customer or a driver. I made an oder at Papa John's Pizza for a total of over $40. As I placed the order a pop-up came across the screen that says," You appear to be very far away from the address." Before I could even touch the screen another pop-up says my order was placed without my confirmation mind you. I realized I had made the order for the wrong delivery address and that also means the wrong Papa John's has my order. I try to change addresses but I'm not allowed on the app now. It's too late so I have to cancel the order. They end up charging me $25 cancelation fee and it's nonrefundable. I've talked to customer service and they explained that because the Papa John's had already accepted the order that they had already prepared the order so I would have to pay for that even though I wasn't receiving the food. I think that's a ridiculous policy but lesson learned and I will not be letting this happen to me again. As an over the road truck driver I get food in many different places and they just lost me as a customer 👋.
