Order a gift for my dad, who lives around 12 hours away from my wife and I. We decided to splurge and buy a $130 bottle of wine for him, something he wouldn't normally get himself. We placed the order 2 days before his birthday. When he opened the package on his birthday, it was the same brand, but a $70 bottle of wine. Uber Eats is telling me that because its over 48 hours, there's nothing they can do.
I used to order Uber Eats around 1x per week, but this sloppy work combined with horrible customer service has deterred me from using them again.
All I can hope is other learn from my mistake and just avoid Uber altogether. When things go fine you don't think twice, but when something goes wrong, don't expect it to be fixed.
