I’m absolutely shocked by what happened. My wife sold a parcel on Vinted to a buyer, who received the item in perfect condition. However, the buyer took pictures of a completely different, damaged product of the same type and claimed that’s what she received.
Despite my wife providing evidence and having over 20 five-star reviews across her accounts, Vinted sided with the buyer. They claimed the item is “forbidden” and ruled that my wife won’t get her money or the item back.
The buyer had zero followers, no reputation, and still managed to walk away with £250 worth of free hair extensions by exploiting the system.
This is absolutely unacceptable. It feels like sellers on Vinted have zero protection, no matter how trustworthy or experienced they are.
If you’re considering selling on Vinted, don’t. They do not care about sellers, and this experience has been nothing short of disgusting.
