I’ve had a deeply frustrating experience with Vinted, and I feel compelled to warn other potential users. First and foremost, Vinted’s so-called “Buyer Protection” is practically nonexistent. When I received an item that was clearly not as described—damaged and unusable—I was shocked to find how difficult it was to get support. Despite providing photos and detailed evidence, Vinted sided with the seller, leaving me out of pocket with no way to appeal the decision. Customer service is almost impossible to reach, and when you do manage to get a response, it’s generic, unhelpful, and slow. There’s no real accountability or way to escalate issues. You’re essentially left to deal with problems on your own, even if you followed all the platform’s guidelines. To make matters worse, their policies are misleading and inconsistent, often favoring sellers regardless of the situation. It gives a false sense of security that you’re protected, when in reality, you’re taking a big risk with every purchase. I understand that secondhand marketplaces carry some risk, but Vinted does little to mitigate this, and in some cases seems to enable shady practices. I won’t be using it again and strongly suggest others think twice before buying anything of value through this platform.

Unfortunately, there is a temporary issue with withdrawals due to which you are not able to make payout to your bank account at the moment. Don't worry, we are fully aware of the issue and trying to fix it as fast as possible. You'll be able to withdraw your earnings very soon. Please try again later. Thank you for your patience! Annoying app. The AI constantly flags items as illegal. After a few tries, it's permanently blocked. And if you object, you get a standard message. Personal contact is impossible. What a bummer.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Dropped off the Vinted parcel to InPost locker as I always do. However, the parcel failed to register despite following their procedure to the letter. Vinted decided to refund the buyer and left me £55.00 out of the pocket. Rude and shocking service!! I am now preparing a letter before action and filing a claim at the small claims court. BE CAREFUL!!!

I was charged through Vinted without ever having an account. When I reported it, they refused to investigate unless I provided technical payment data I can't access. Their support gave copy-paste responses and tried to close the case quickly. Vinted failed to take responsibility or protect against fraud. Avoid this platform.

The more I use Vinted, the more I realise how unfair and unprotected the platform really is. You charge a “Buyer Protection” fee on every order, but when something goes wrong, there’s barely any real support or protection for the buyer. What makes it worse is that buyers can’t even leave honest, public reviews based on bad experiences. Instead, Vinted shows a vague star rating that hides the truth and lets bad sellers keep getting away with it. Buyers like me end up misled and stuck in a system that clearly cares more about protecting sellers and making money than being fair.

Bought buyers protection but apparently that doesn't cover it being delivered to other houses in different streets, in different postcodes. Im on crutches, so cannot walk the ⅓ of a mile to collect a large box and carry it home, but they don't care. They made thier money.

Overall vinted is a good site to bag yourself a bargain. In saying that there are a lot of people who are only interested in ripping you off as with any selling sites. The key things to follow are if you see anything on sites like Vinted is ALWAYS check the sellers reviews for past sales. If they don't have any then that should be a red flag. Vinted is full of items for sale that are too good to be true. Example: A Rolex watch costing well over a grand being offered for less than a tenner. Yeah right. 🚩Remember ALWAYS check the sellers reviews. If they don't have any then save yourself the trouble of potentially being ripped off. 🚩Is the item far too cheap for what they're offering? Aa I said there are countless Rolex and other top branded items on Vinted which just cannot sensibly be for sale because the price is far too low.

Appalling service Vinted marked my item as delivered 8 hours prematurely which resulted in them completing the transaction and 8 hours prematurely not giving me 48 hours to collect as per their company policy. Of course the parcel wasn’t at the shop and Vinted refused to assist. They are a terrible company with zero interest in helping their customers.

Non existent customer service other than automated responses. Awful Awful Awful. I'm no longer using this company as they do not look after the seller. 2 out of 3 issues on sales and absolutely zero help or CARE.

Awful company, will not investigate or listen to proven fraudulent activity. Do anything they can the easy way, usually penalising honest customers rather than looking into issues. Also very slow paying monies due and never respond to complaints. Avoid at all costs

I’ve just had a terrible experience as a seller on Vinted, and I feel compelled to warn others. I sold a fragile item that unfortunately arrived broken due to poor handling during shipping. As a responsible seller, I refunded the buyer immediately, I believe in good customer service and didn’t want to make them wait or go through extra hassle. However, because I didn’t follow Vinted’s strict and misleading resolution steps, I was denied any compensation for the damaged item. Here’s the real issue: Vinted gives sellers two options when an item arrives damaged. Ask for the item to be returned , even if it’s broken and the seller has to pay for the return postage out of pocket. Offer a full refund and let the buyer keep the damaged item, but in doing so, the seller forfeits any right to compensation. In my case, I went with the second option because I didn’t want to inconvenience the buyer. But by doing that, I lost any right to claim my losses. Then I tried selecting the return option, and was told I’d have to pay also the delivery just to get the broken item sent back to me. Completely unacceptable. To make things worse, I can’t even claim compensation through Royal Mail because Vinted uses third-party courier accounts. That means they are the official customer, not me. I have no control, no access to claim processes, and no protection. It’s a total dead end. Vinted’s policy actively punishes sellers for doing the right thing. I had no idea how unfair their system is until I experienced it firsthand. Their platform gives buyers all the protection while sellers are left to take the financial loss — even when it’s clearly due to delivery damage. This whole experience has completely put me off. I’ve closed my shop and won’t be selling on Vinted again. One star, and honestly, that’s being generous.

I ordered 3 items seller send only 1 of them. Contacted vinted support and in the end they agreed seller is at fault and told me to get my money back I Need to pay for the return to get my money back from the parcel.. parcel was costing £3 so not worth it paying for the return. But it's not fair as a buyer you pay "buyer protection" which is mandatory and then need to pay for the return when it's supposed to be the seller who is at fault to pay for the return and provide you with a return label.

Soooooo many sellers obviously selling fake designer items despite offering article verification. Even admitting it, it is fake if you're asking the right questions. Vinted doesn't do anything about this problem. So how to trust their so called 'experts' if you pay for article verification. In fact, their policy towards a scam is the most fake. Be very careful!
