I’ve always bought and sold on Vinted Let’s start with the first issue: they allow people to sell fake items or free newspaper giveaways at inflated prices. According to one profile, after buying an item, they deleted all their photos and unfollowed everyone; after rushing to post it within an hour of purchase, they vanished and never replied, not to mention the slow delivery – I saw my item returned to me after a good month and a half. Today, after the start of March, another item was sold. After multiple reports that the buyer hadn’t received any notifications about my dispatch, and following a month without a response from customer support, we received notification that the parcel had been lost. I’ll be deleting my profile soon – don’t trust them!

In order to become a seller on an item I listed and was sold, I was asked to provide a link to my bank account and password, not just my credit card number. Since I am a senior with my life savings there and not just a young seller with $100, I refused to do this. So, this app is not for me.

Paid on Jan 1 with Buyer Protection. Parcel lost Jan 7, never reached Vinted hub. 77 days later the order is still suspended and no refund. Support keeps repeating the same messages about “investigation” and “more time” while missing all deadlines. Seller confirmed the loss, tracking dead for 2 months. Buyer Protection does nothing. Feels like a scam.

Buyer sent jumper with a stain and two holes in, vinted support rude, took 2 days to reply in between each message then told me I had no case as its been two long. They took 6 days to reply to my 3 messages regarding why I should pay for return postage seeing as item was described as very good and arrived looking like a used rag.

A good way of getting a bit of extra cash for items you no longer use. My only gripe is why do buyers try to haggle to save 20p. It's embarrassing. Feel like saying, here, you can have it .

The seller posted an incorrect item to me and realised their mistake right away. We both contacted Vinted customer service. But all they could say is wait for it to arrive, don't collect, wait for it to be returned. 2 weeks and I will get a refund. So out of pocket and no goods. Their AI responses are frustrating. I believe watchdog should look into their dodgy dodgy business. If I could rate them no stars, I would.

Do not use,sellers can wrongly describe items,(intentionally?) then when buyer receives, points out sellers mistake YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR RETURN, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS 0. They are not interested in helping, last 2 orders wrong, seller said 40 inches arrived was 40cm. 0 help. You also need a printer to send anything back. Absolutely useless site. THEY TRY ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF HELPING. WOULD LEAVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE.

Dreadful, do not sell any items on Vinted unless it has a very low value. Sold a jacket, buyer didn’t collect, was put on return by in post and did not arrive. I was told to wait an astonishing 25 working days and contact them. So, I waited and contacted Vinted and was told that I needed to wait 25 working days, I pointed out that I had done this already and the case was just closed down by the agent saying it was their final decision. So, if you sell something and it gets lost, don’t expect any help from Vinted. Ignorant agent on support.

It had been completely biased in dealing with a customer complain thereby following no evidence provided to them to resolve the case. Such should be dealt with detailed inputs and case by case basis with enough evidence of both sides of seller and buyer part.

Seller described shoes as 'brand new' and sent not only worn but filthy shoes. The seller refused to cover my shipping to return the shoes. Vinted support took 72 hours to reply to state that I would have to cover the return shipping despite photographic evidence that they were in disgusting condition. The UI said 'return by' 20th February which to me (and Grok, ChatGPT, and Gemini) means 'on or before' the 20th, yet the return shut on the 20th despite me processing the return label. I will use Depop instead.

I would like to share my experience with Vinted!! And it is very bad! Everything was going fine until I had a problem with a buyer! The buyer said they didn’t pick up the product and DPD said the product was delivered! The buyer cancelled the transaction! And now Vinted refunded the buyer and I have nothing!! On top of that they sent me a message saying I can sell the product again!! How, when I don’t have the product and the buyer does, or it got lost!! So Vinted does not protect sellers!! For me this website Vinted is over and I’d rather sell somewhere else!!

took a while to decide to use vinted - due to all the bad press - now I really wanted to buy something and vinted is completely impossible to set up - other auction sites are so easy so there is no need at all for this to be so very complex

Vinted is very quick to blame carriers and sellers..meanwhile u take very little action at looking at ur own faults Vinted…carrier provides photographic proof of evidence, seller provides receipt, buyer takes out buyer protection, but yet you have to investigate a matter for 35 days!!!what is there to investigate when all evidence has been provided!!! its not as though the parcel has gone missing…its simply shocking how u operate ur business ethics!!!

I gave to agree with many of the reviews posted here. Fairly new to Vinted and selling seems ok until you have an issue and then it is impossible to resolve due to automated replies and even when requesting to speak to a human being, no one gets back to you. One lost parcel sent to buyer came up as not sent. I had the tracking number but received an automatic 1* review ( I did reply to this feedback to state not my fault). Vinted conveniently can’t alter automated feedback. If I’m buying or selling anything I have to take into account the so called buyer protection fee and postage. I now only use Inpost to send and am considering going back to a previous selling platform I used to sell on before Vinted. Vinted please sort out your many issues. Improve your customer service and the “buyer protection fee”.

Disgusting customer service 0 seller protection. wors then another sites. If item was damaged byvthe delivery company sellers didn't get compensation even when provided pictures how the packaging looks before sendin and even if the buyer confirmed that. Unbeatable....Avoid!!!!!

Having received a number of items which were not correctly described on the listing, (but were not particularly serious), I received an item which was very different from what was described and decided to make a complaint: it seems that postage for returns of fraudulent items is payable by the purchaser.

great system until you need to contact customer service, when you start you speak to a bot who confirmed that my new selling item was on hold to be checked, I have asked to delete as it has my IMEI number, and then I asked to speak to customer service, took 48 hours to a person to answer with an automated message, this is ridiculous

Too many sellers wait until just before the deadline to post items out, buyers take ages to collect and delay payments because they don't bother clicking ' everything is ok' . When I had to return an item the seller didn't bother collecting it, took nearly 4 weeks to get a refund. Sadly some members spoil it for everyone else.
