Vinted released funds to a seller who never dispatched the item. I followed all steps correctly. Despite this, I was met with 20+ identical automated replies and no actual support.
Vinted’s system:
• Does not detect unshipped items
• Ignores valid refund requests if sellers stall
• Sends threats for legal chargebacks
• Avoids escalation, even when a formal complaint is filed
• Responds to Resolver complaints with the same AI-generated text as in-app support
They also tried to move the conversation off-platform via private email, likely to avoid accountability. I have referred the matter to Citizens Advice, Trading Standards, the ICO, and will continue until this is addressed properly.
