My earlier note might have come in, incomplete. As the risk of repeating myself (but in the interest of completeness) let me pick it up from the start. I have had well over 25 years shopping at WF. And, for the most part, it has been a pleasant shopping experience. About 6 years ago, I stopped using your meat department, as I found a couple of the men behind the counter surly and downright rude. Took that portion of my business to Heinens. More recently, I have noticed that some of your floor staff seem to have adopted a similar manner where they ‘talk down’ to the customers who might be a bit lost. I did pull one of the staff members short and mentioned to him that he could have handled his interaction with an older lady with more courtesy. He took exception to my comment, and with a dismissive wave of the hand told me that I should not be speaking to him is such a manner. I suspect this feedback will likely meet a fate similar to my comment a few years ago about your meat section. But, if you are to retain what I see as a relatively loyal customer base, you might consider a greater investment in training of your personal. In closing I should note that the lapses I notice in your service levels stand in embarrassingly sharp contrast to the exceptional quality of service at Heinens. I might suggest you consider asking them for some training help. Mohan Reddy
