whole foods is an exercise in hubris. insanely overpriced, terrible quality control. california roll had the most overcooked crab ive ever seen with pieces of shell inside of every single slice. rotisserie chicken bag covered in grease, grime and skin, pieces of skin stuck inside of the zip seal with the label slapped on top of it, absolutely disgusting. stuff used to be nicer than average but now it's the worst generic products possible. 4 to 10 times more expensive than any corporate chain grocery in the area, and apparently the quality of the food and service are now worse than kroger or meijer. you won't even get fresh produce anymore, it's a disgrace. i genuinely think i could find better quality groceries at dollar tree. Customer service is acceptable *only* for grocery orders. returns and refunds for anything besides food will happen when pigs fly, no matter how obviously the problem is amazon's fault. items are knowingly mislabeled or sold with incorrect details, customer service will tell you that they've double checked and i was sent the correct item. they use half chat bots and half people using chatgpt to translate everything for them, and while some of them try every hard, they flagrantly do not speak or understand english. i don't think its too much to ask to vet the hires in some way, but they don't.
