I had Wise Property Care around to check for dry rot, and to spray to kill some insect infestations. To be honest, I wasn't looking forward to Wise Property Care coming into my house and knocking holes in walls to check for dry rot - the dry rot investigation was a requirement of the mortgage. However, the plan had always been to get someone in to do the spraying. The guys from Wise Property Services were prompt and professional, and I had no qualms about leaving them to get on with the work. The work itself was carried out very considerately - the guys went out of their way to try and minimise the impact of their investigations, even to the point of trying to access some lintels through the eaves rather that through the wall. Admittedly that was unsuccessful, and a hole in the wall duly followed, but at least they tried! In terms of holes in walls, the guys did a really neat job, minimising the size of the holes where possible, and were very tidy in cleaning up after themselves. Health and Safety-wise, they were good - tanks and electrics covered prior to spraying; after spraying, good signage was put in place, and the restrictions were explained well. In truth, it was a relatively painless experience - if only all contractors could be like this! I would certainly use them again.
